What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in time is at 2:00pm, and check-out time is at 10:00am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to availability.

Do you provide breakfast?
Yes, we do! Start your day with a delightful complimentary breakfast while soaking in the breath-taking views of Hobart from our dining room, sunny terrace, or even the comfort of your own room.
Our breakfast includes locally sourced, high-quality goodies to give you a healthy and delicious start to your day.

What are the reception desk hours?
As a small boutique hotel, we don't have a traditional reception desk. However, we have a team onsite most days between 730am and 2pm. We've set up self-check-in for your convenience, allowing you to check-in at any time after 2pm. Additionally, we're available 24/7 to assist you, and Ash and Brock are frequently in and out of the hotel throughout the day to ensure your needs are met.

Is parking available at the hotel?
Free public parking is located on Mona Street & surrounding streets. Normally ample parking is available with free 2hr parking 8am-6pm Mon-Fri, and unrestricted at other times. Additionally, we offer parking permits that allow your vehicle to remain parked all day for your convenience.

Are children allowed at the hotel?
We welcome children aged 12 and over to stay at the hotel. However, exceptions can be made for younger children if you choose to book the hotel exclusively for a group reservation.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets at our hotel. If you have any questions or need assistance finding a pet-friendly accommodation nearby, please feel free to reach out to us for recommendations.

How is the hotel set up, and do you have a lift?
As an early 1900s heritage listed mansion, Grande Vue spans three levels, with the top floor accessible only by the original staircase – the good news is the views from the top floor are incredible! If you require assistance with your bags or have accessibility concerns, please reach out to us at reception@grandevuehotel.com.au, and we will be more than happy to discuss this with you prior to arrival and meet you at the property at any time to help.

Does the hotel have a fitness centre?
We do not have a fitness centre on-site. However, we recommend ZAP at Salamanca, which is conveniently located within walking distance nearby. ZAP offer casual entry fees, allowing you to maintain your fitness routine while staying with us.

Is Wi-Fi included in the room rate?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is included for all guests throughout the hotel premises, including guest rooms and common areas.

Do I need a car if I stay at Grande Vue?
If your plan is to explore Hobart itself, a car is not necessary. The CBD is just a 15-minute walk away, and Salamanca and the waterfront are only 10 minutes away, all easily walkable from our location. However, if you're considering day trips to the surrounding areas, you may want to consider hiring a car for the day or looking into organised tours for added convenience.

Yes, we do have a fireplace in the reception room. It operates on gas and can be easily turned on and off for your convenience.

Can you open windows?
Yes, our rooms have windows that can be opened for fresh air.

Do you have any rooms with twin beds?
While we don't have specific twin rooms, we recommend our 2-bedroom suite, The Waterloo Room, which features two separate bedrooms, ideal for guests seeking twin beds.
