Florence Fox was the wife of Charles Fox, and the original lady of the house when Grande Vue was built in 1906 as their family home. Florence and Charles named their Queen Anne Style mansion ‘Coolangatta’, raising their children Rita and Eric here, living in the property until his death in 1941 when she sold the home. We continue to research the Fox family to understand more about the first occupants of Grande Vue, and whilst we can’t be sure, we do hope that Florence would approve of the work we have done to breathe new life into her former home and garden.
